Homilies, reflections, and thoughts from the Rev. Rusty P. Richard, pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, Louisiana
How many of today's worst governments begin with "People's Democratic"? Then those same governments go about the business of enforcing the "common good" by the "will of the people" through violence, lies, theft and slavery (addictions, perversions) all wrapped up with redefinitions of "love" and "freedom". God has no room in that ideology. Democracy does not equate with either good, love or freedom. Upon death there will be no "democracy" but Justice, Truth and Final Judgement. This Advent are we witnesses to commercialism, greed, gluttony and immorality or are we witnesses to the birth of our Lord? What does the "democracy" say?
